Cannon Duel guide

What is this game?

Cannon Duel is a turn-based artillery game. Aim with angle, power, and wind. It is a casual original, not official Fortress.

Dump, Skip, and Boom have different mobility, health, and firepower. Splash damage hits around the impact. Reduce the opponent's health to zero to win.

Works on PC, tablet, and phone. Portrait layout is supported on mobile.

How to play

On your turn, move and fire. Set angle and power, then account for wind. Terrain and character matchups matter.

  • Dump: short movement, high health and firepower.
  • Skip: long, fast movement, lower health and firepower.
  • Boom: largest splash and less affected by wind.
  • AI difficulty is easy, normal, or hard. Harder AI aims better and picks counters more carefully.

Controls

  • Adjust position, set angle and power, then fire while checking wind direction and strength.
  • Wait for the projectile and damage animation to finish before the next turn begins.
  • On phones, the battlefield and aiming controls are laid out for portrait play.

Strategy tips

  • Use the first shot to measure range, then change only angle or power so the correction is easier to read.
  • High ground helps range and visibility, but an edge position leaves less room to dodge.
  • Use Dump's durability, Skip's mobility, and Boom's wide splash radius as distinct plans.

Difficulty differences

Easy has wider aiming error. Normal applies distance and wind more consistently. Hard improves both shot accuracy and character matchup choices.

Common beginner mistakes

  • Ignoring wind and reusing the same angle misses repeatedly.
  • Use the first shot to measure distance instead of forcing a hit.
  • Camping only on high edges leaves no room to dodge reverse wind.
