Texas Hold'em poker guide

What is this game?

Playfulo Poker is no-limit Texas Hold'em in the browser. Play a 3-handed table against two AIs with no sign-up. Chips are virtual points only.

Make the best five-card hand from two hole cards and the community board. Streets run preflop, flop, turn, and river, with side pots on all-ins.

Choose easy, normal, or hard. Works on desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Basic rules

Starting stacks are 1000 chips with 5/10 blinds by default. The dealer button rotates each hand. Actions: fold, check, call, bet, raise, all-in.

  • Rankings (high to low): royal flush, straight flush, four of a kind, full house, flush, straight, three of a kind, two pair, one pair, high card. A-5 wheel straights count.
  • Minimum raise equals the previous raise size. No-limit means you may bet your full stack.
  • If your stack hits 0, the game is over until you rebuy.
  • AI hole cards are revealed at showdown.

Controls

  • On your turn choose among Fold, Check/Call, and Bet/Raise when available.
  • Set the virtual-chip amount before confirming a bet or raise, and check both the call amount and your remaining stack.
  • After betting from preflop through river, remaining hands are compared and the main and side pots are settled.

Strategy tips

  • Play a tighter starting range in early position and widen it in late position after seeing earlier actions.
  • Read straight and flush possibilities on the board together with the opponent's bet size.
  • Even a strong-looking hand can be a fold when the call is too large for the pot. Bluff only when the opponent can realistically fold.

Difficulty differences

Easy reacts more directly to hand strength. Normal also considers position and bet size. Hard uses pot odds, board danger, and action history more broadly. All chips are virtual and have no cash value.

Common beginner mistakes

  • Chasing big pots with weak hands burns your stack.
  • Playing the same range from every position is expensive.
  • Even with virtual chips, bluff with table flow — not every hand.
