Alkkagi guide

What is this game?

Alkkagi is a Korean classic: place go stones in your half of the board, then flick them to knock opponents off. Play vs AI or invite a friend — free, no sign-up.

Power grows with how far you pull back. After a round, the winner goes first next game.

Play on PC, tablet, or phone. On mobile, tap to place and drag to flick.

How to play

Before play, each side places five stones in their half (always shown at the bottom of your screen). Then flick on your turn to clear the opponent. The winner takes the first turn next round.

  • Choose AI practice or a friend room with an invite link.
  • In setup, place stones only in your half, then confirm or ready up. No opponent half, midline, or overlaps.
  • Press a stone, pull away from your target to charge, then release to flick. Ease back to the stone to cancel.
  • Any stone that leaves the board is out. AI difficulty is easy, normal, or hard.

Controls

  • Before play, place five stones in your half at the bottom of the screen. You can undo the last one.
  • Confirm (AI) or ready up (friend match) to start flicking.
  • Press your stone, drag away from the target to charge, then release to flick. Ease back to cancel.

Strategy tips

  • Nudge opponents toward the edge so the next flick can finish them off.
  • Ease up on close shots — too much power can send your own stone out.
  • Angle for chain collisions to clear several stones in one turn.

Difficulty & first move

AI has easy, normal, and hard. The winner goes first next round; on a draw, first move swaps. In friend games the host starts the next round.

Common beginner mistakes

  • Pulling too hard can send your own stone out with the opponent’s.
  • Clustering all stones in setup makes you easy to chain-hit.
  • Remember to pull opposite the target — light taps barely move stones.
